Chelan County Fairground Campground

Chelan County Fairground Campground

There might not be any shade, but it was surrounded by hills that were very scenic. Loved the location and the fact everything worked right. The fairgrounds are located in the town of Cashmere. After I left Leavenworth I drove over to Wenatchee, to get something at Walmart. Instead of heading back, I drove Alt. 97 to Chelan. There were parts of the drive that were pretty but for the most part it wasn't all that great. I came into Chelan and wondered if it were just me still reacting emotionally to Leavenworth (plus it was getting late), so I turned around to head back. That view of the lake heading back is what would make me go back, quite spectacular.

I drove through the historic section of Cashmere, just a little town. That was so much more interesting and pretty to me. I'd like to come back up here sometime and poke around places like Cashmere more.
